Biography:

Dr. Chidum Ezenwaka is a Professor of Chemical Pathology and has been in academic for the past 36 years serving as full professor since 2008 at the University of the West Indies in Trinidad and Tobago. Professor Ezenwaka has held many administrative positions in his current University and has collaborated with many scientists in the United Kingdom, Germany, United States of America, Nigeria and Japan. Professor Ezenwaka has published research articles on metabolic aspects of diabetes as well as on educational perspective of managing diabetes. He has served on editorial boards of reputable journals and has reviewed.

Professor Chidum Ezenwaka’s research interests center on the metabolic aspects of diabetes and the educational approaches to diabetes management. His work focuses on understanding the biochemical and physiological mechanisms underlying diabetes and related metabolic disorders, as well as developing effective strategies to improve patient education and self-management. He is also deeply interested in global health collaborations, particularly in advancing diabetes research through international partnerships aimed at improving prevention, diagnosis, and care outcomes.
