Abstract Title: A First-in-Class Curative Drug for Diabetic Neuropathy: Paradigm- Shifting Discovery Targeting Underlying Pathophysiology

Biography:

Dr. Mihan J Javid completed her anesthesiology specialty from Tabriz University at age 27. She has over 30 years of experience in research and education in anesthesiology, pain medicine and intensive care, along with more than 15 years of involvement in diabetic foot management and limb salvage. She holds three Iranian patents, one US patent. and a pending US patent application. Two innovative anesthesia methods have been developed by her. She has published about 40 international articles and contributed to research on neuropathy, microangiopathy and wound healing. She is also developing future projects for diabetic retinopathy and nephropathy.

Research Interest:

Dr. Mihan J. Javid’s research interests span a broad spectrum within anesthesiology, pain medicine, and critical care, with a strong interdisciplinary focus on diabetic complications. Her work includes innovative approaches to anesthesia delivery, neuropathy, microangiopathy, and wound healing, supported by over three decades of clinical and academic experience. She has a longstanding interest in diabetic foot management and limb salvage, integrating advanced techniques to improve patient outcomes. Additionally, her ongoing research explores new therapeutic strategies for diabetic retinopathy and nephropathy, further reflecting her commitment to advancing diabetic complication care and translational medical innovations.
